The Haruna Dairy Cooperatives is the collective name for a specialized dairy cooperative organization serving the territory of the cities of Takasaki and Shibukawa and Kitagunma District in central Gunma Prefecture. This territory is an intermediate flat zone at the foot of Mt. Haruna, one of the Three Famous Mountains of Gunma. In 1956, it was designated the Mt. Haruna foothills dairy farming district by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (now the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries).
The Haruna Dairy Cooperatives are involved in all stages of the dairy farming and creamery businesses from management guidance for dairy farmers through the production and sale of milk, dairy products, and dessert products.
